Here is the latest newsletter from the chapter – “A Mother’s Arms”- supporting Mothers Without Borders
1. The ladies who came to the Feb meeting came up with some great fundraising ideas for 2009. We will let you know what the board members decide ASAP.
2. At the March 5th meeting at the Sandy Library (7:00 pm) an organization called “Angels in Action” will tell and show us how they help the refugees coming into Salt Lake. You will be amazed at what they do! We will assemble about 50 family hygiene kits for them. We still need the following donations:
a. 88 hair pics – large plastic combs (2 per kit)
b. 35 large shampoo bottles (1 per kit)
c. 90 toothbrushes (6 per kit)
d. 10 large toothpastes/ 60 small size
The dollar store is a great place for these items.

3. Cindy at the “Token School”- 3300 So 8th E – needs 2-3 volunteers to help open the bags and boxes of donated items. They need to be organized on shelves in a school storage closet. It may take about 2 ½ hours and needs to be done during school hours. Please LMK who can go any time before March 15th. Fun stuff!
4. The chapter is in need of silk long stem flowers. These will be used for the “Token Store” as gifts for the children to “purchase” for Mothers Day. We also need ½”-1” ribbon to tie on the flowers. This is one of three projects that we will do at the April 2nd meeting
